British PM meets Zelensky, announces $2.8bn loan for Ukraine

LONDON: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer here during which the two countries reached a $2.8 billion loan agreement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in London today to meet with British Prime Minister who welcomed him with a hug.

According to a news agency, the Ukrainian president met with the British Prime Minister in 10 Downing Street.

In this regard, Ukrainian President Zelensky said after the meeting that the loan will be used in the production of weapons in Ukraine.

He said, “I want to thank you and the British people for your support to Ukraine. King Charles accepted my meeting yesterday, for that I am also grateful and grateful.”

He added that with a big European summit planned, the people of Ukraine are happy that we have such strategic partners.
