KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened on a positive note today as the KSE-100 Index gained 296 points, reaching 159,393 points during early trading.
The market showed an upward trend following yesterday’s close at 159,096 points, reflecting improved investor confidence and a stable economic outlook.
Meanwhile, in the interbank market, the Pakistani rupee appreciated slightly against the US dollar. The dollar’s value declined by five paisas, dropping from Rs280.85 to Rs280.80.
Market experts attribute the positive momentum to encouraging market fundamentals and expectations of policy stability in the coming days.
