KASUR: A violent altercation at a toll plaza in Kasur claimed the life of a bus driver after a dispute over a 250-rupee toll receipt.
According to reports, the victim, Khalil Ahmad, was on his way to visit his ailing father when he was stopped at the toll barrier.
Upon allegedly offering less than the demanded fee, a group of miscreants attacked him with sticks. The brutal assault left him fatally injured, and he died on the spot.
Khalil Ahmad’s brother has submitted an application to the police for the registration of a case. The body has been shifted to a hospital for postmortem, while residents of the area have demanded justice for the victim.
