Bushra Bibi granted bail in corruption case

She arrived in court in Islamabad along with her husband Imran Khan from Lahore today.

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Islamabad today granted protective bail till May 31 to PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, in the £190 million settlement, Al-Qadir Trust corruption case. 

The former prime minister, who is facing a number of cases, and Bushra Bibi reached the Islamabad judicial complex, ahead of his appearance before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) at its Rawalpindi office in the same case.

A legal team comprising Salman Safdar, Khawaja Haris, Intezar Panjotha, Gohar Ali Khan and Ali Aijaz was accompanying Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan.

Khan yesterday expressed apprehension that there were 80pc chances of his arrest in the case today.

On May 9, he was arrested in Islamabad in the same case, but later granted bail by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
