PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has granted protective bail to Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, barring her arrest in any case for 14 days.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Shaukat Ahmed and Justice Sabzada Asadullah heard the petition filed by Bushra Bibi’s lawyer.

Bushra Bibi’s lawyer informed the court that cases have been registered against her in all four provinces, but the details are unknown.

The lawyer requested protection from arrest, citing the constitution’s guarantee of protection for every citizen.

The court directed NAB, FIA, and other institutions to provide case details and ordered that Bushra Bibi not be arrested for 14 days.

This development comes after Islamabad High Court approved Bushra Bibi’s bail in the Toshakhana case on October 23, 2024, against surety bonds worth Rs. 10 million.

She was subsequently released from Adiala Jail and arrived in Peshawar.
