LAHORE: A Canadian citizen who was in Lahore for research work has gone missing and is believed to have been kidnapped.
Hamza Ahmed, a Canadian national, had come to Lahore for research purposes and was staying at his friend Yusuf Rashid’s residence in Defence Phase 10. The police have filed a kidnapping case based on the statement of Hamza Ahmed’s friend, Yusuf Rashid.
According to Shahid Yusuf, the complainant, Hamza Ahmed arrived in Pakistan on February 13. On the day of his disappearance, Hamza had booked a cab via an online app but never returned.
DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran has confirmed that an investigation into the kidnapping complaint is currently underway.
