Canadian man found guilty of murdering four Pakistani family members

Accused deliberately hit five members of Afzaal family with his truck while they were out for a walk in June 2021.

ONTARIO: A man who killed four members of a Pakistani family two years back has been found guilty of the crime by a court in Ontario, Canada.

According to the prosecution, Nathaniel Veltman, 22, planned the attack for three months before driving his Dodge Ram truck directly at the Muslim family in the year 2021.

The deceased were identified as Salman Azfaal, 46, his wife Madiha, 44, daughter Yamna, 15, and mother Talat, 74. His son, aged nine, was injured.

Reports said the Canadian man inspired by white nationalist beliefs acted deliberately and with premeditation when he crashed his pick-up truck into a Muslim family, killing four people in an alleged “terrorist” rampage, the prosecutor said.

Veltman has been found guilty of deliberately hitting five members of the Afzaal family with his truck while they were out for a walk in London, Ontario, on the evening of June 6, 2021.
