Cargo Ship Arrivals Increase at Gwadar Port, Global Confidence Up

GWADAR: Gwadar Port has witnessed a surge in commercial activity with the arrival of the cargo vessel MV Reva Glory, carrying 11,629 metric tons of cargo, signaling growing investor confidence in the facility, officials said on Monday.

Minister for Maritime Affairs Mohammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry stated that the increased activity highlights the port’s strategic significance and reflects a gradual restoration of trust among international shipping companies.

He added that the government is taking measures to make port operations more efficient and effective, ensuring full facilities for investors and shipping companies.

“Gwadar Port is increasingly becoming a key hub for regional transit and transshipment trade,” Chaudhry said. “We are committed to developing it into a world-class marine gateway.”

The minister stated that the rise in cargo ship arrivals underscores Gwadar’s growing importance as a commercial and strategic maritime center, attracting further investments and trade opportunities.
