The Yaogan-53 and Yaogan-56 satellite groups were launched aboard a Long March-4B carrier rocket and successfully entered their designated orbits, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The satellites will primarily be used for scientific experiments, land and natural resource surveys, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation.
The launch marked the 666th spaceflight of a Long March carrier rocket, highlighting China’s continued activity in satellite deployment and space exploration.
The newly launched satellites are expected to support a range of scientific and Earth-observation applications, including monitoring natural resources and improving disaster response capabilities.
