BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Ministry has expressed strong opposition to any actions that threaten Iran’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
In a press briefing, ministry spokesperson Gao Jiachun emphasized that China rejects efforts aimed at escalating tensions in the Middle East and voiced “deep concern” over the current situation in the region.
“We firmly oppose any move that undermines Iran’s sovereignty and the stability of the region,” said Gao, calling for restraint and dialogue to prevent further escalation.
Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi launched a scathing attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, labeling him a “war criminal.” Araghchi accused Israel of manipulating U.S. administrations over the past three decades to fight its wars, stating that “for thirty years, Israel has deceived American presidents into serving its military agenda.”
The statements come amid heightened regional tensions, as concerns grow over the potential for wider conflict in the Middle East.
