BEIJING: Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar headed their respective delegations at a meeting here and discussed bilateral relations, including projects under CPEC in Pakistan.
The Chinese side at the meeting held on Wednesday stressed the importance of fast-tracking work on CPEC projects in Pakistan in order to take advantage of them.
The Chinese vice president on the occasion also expressed his country’s full support to Pakistan in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Pakistan said speedy progress had been made on CPEC projects in energy and infrastructure sectors. HeĀ expressed the confidence at the positive dividends under Phase-II in the fields of industry, agriculture and mineral development.
The participants of the meeting also discussed connectivity through Khunjerab border crossing and a simplified visa regime for people of the two countries.
