Christian community’s role in development of Pakistan hailed

Ambassador says those involved in burning churches and houses of the Christian community would be punished.

WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan has appreciated the contributions of Christian community towards the socio economic development of Pakistan.

During his virtual meeting with pastors and the Christian leaders of Atlanta, Georgia, he said Jaranwala incident does not represent our society or our religion.

He said Islam is a religion of peace for the humanity.

He said those involved in burning churches and houses of the Christian community in Jaranwala would be brought to justice. 

The participants were appreciative of the firm resolve shown by Pakistani leadership to reject the heinous acts.
