Civil-Military Cooperation Key To Resolving Balochistan’s Issues: COAS

Field Marshall Asim Munir visits Turbat and briefed on successful operations against subversive elements, says ISPR.

RAWALPINDI: According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Turbat, Balochistan, where he was received by the Corps Commander Balochistan.

During the visit, he was briefed on successful operations against subversive elements as well as ongoing development projects in southern Balochistan.

Addressing the occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the importance of good governance and people-friendly development, reiterating that the Pakistan Army stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Balochistan for peace and prosperity.

He added that the resolution of challenges lies in joint efforts between civil and military institutions and reaffirmed the Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty.

While interacting with troops, the Field Marshal appreciated their high morale, operational readiness, and dedication to defending the motherland. He acknowledged the pivotal role of soldiers in maintaining peace in the region despite difficult circumstances.

ISPR stated that the purpose of the visit was to review the security situation and assess developmental initiatives. The Chief Minister of Balochistan, the Chief Secretary, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
