PESHAWAR: Two persons lost their lives and five others, including children, were injured in a clash during a cricket match in Peshawar on Sunday.
Police said the incident occurred in Inqilab Khatrako Pul area. There was a cricket match during which in players and supporters of the two teams started a scuffle. Later, one of the groups reached the muhalla of the other group.
After reaching there, the two groups again started scuffling during which some people started firing.
Panic gripped the area and the police were called who reached the area and found many people injured.
Police said that two persons were killed and five others injured. The injured and dead bodies were shifted to hospital and police have registered a case against the persons involved in the firing however so far no arrest has been made.
