LAHORE: Colleges across Punjab reopened today, with educational activities resuming after a brief winter break.
The Punjab Higher Education Department clarified that while school holidays have been extended due to severe cold, no additional holidays will be given to colleges and universities.
The department stated that all colleges resumed normal operations from January 12. The decision to extend school closures until January 19 was made after public consultation and in consideration of students’ health amid extreme winter conditions.
Students and staff at colleges are expected to return to regular schedules, while schools will reopen later this month.
