In a statement, Chaudhry said the government had also been reluctant to impose governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He alleged that PTI had failed to treat terrorism as a serious issue over the past 14 years. He further criticised the party’s leadership, arguing that placing the entire provincial government under the control of individuals associated with Adiala Jail, Bani Gala or Murad Saeed would lead to similar outcomes.
The minister’s remarks come amid political tensions surrounding the provincial administration, security concerns and debate over possible constitutional measures against PTI.
However, Chaudhry’s statements reflect the government minister’s position; any move to ban a political party would be subject to the applicable constitutional and legal procedures.
