NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York, in collaboration with the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN), organized a special event at the Consulate to pay tribute to women on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
The gathering was attended by a large number of community members, professionals, and entrepreneurs from diverse fields.
Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, highlighted the importance of creating equal opportunities and fostering safe and supportive workplaces for women. He emphasized that promoting gender equality is a shared responsibility of society.
The event also featured an engaging fireside chat with renowned Pakistani-American oncologist Dr. Azra Raza, who shared inspiring reflections from her personal and professional journey, encouraging participants to actively support and empower women in their pursuits.
