NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York commemorated International Women’s Day with a special event organized in collaboration with Brilliance Foundation International.
The event brought together members of the Pakistani-American community, community leaders, professionals, and women from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women and to recognize their vital role in community development and nation-building.
The gathering served as a platform to highlight the important contributions of women within the Pakistani diaspora in the United States.
Women from various professional fields- including education, business, healthcare, public service, and community organizations participated in the event, sharing their experiences and perspectives on leadership, empowerment, and social impact.
Speakers and participants emphasized the importance of creating inclusive spaces that encourage women’s participation in all spheres of life.
The event underscored the growing role of Pakistani-American women in strengthening community engagement, promoting cultural understanding, and contributing meaningfully to civic and professional life in the United States.

In his concluding remarks, Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai commended the active role played by women in the Pakistani diaspora and acknowledged their contributions to both their communities in the United States and to Pakistan’s positive image abroad.
He noted that Pakistani women continue to make remarkable contributions across a wide range of sectors and play an essential role in strengthening families, communities, and institutions.
The Consul General also appreciated the collaboration with Brilliance Foundation International in organizing the event and recognized the importance of partnerships between community organizations and the Consulate in promoting dialogue, empowerment, and community engagement.
