Corona Virus Second Wave: Smart lockdown continues in 3,497 places in 103 districts across the country
ISLAMABAD: The second wave of corona virus is continued in Pakistan. The government has launched smart lockdown in 3,497 places in 103 districts. Federal Minister for Planning and Development, and Head of NCOC Asad Umar once again requested the people to cooperate on government initiatives.
A meeting of the National Command and Operations Center was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar in which the current pattern of corona testing, smart lockdown and security measures was reviewed in detail, though Provincial Chief Secretaries attended the video link.
The briefing said that 52 per cent of Corona’s tests were carried out under the Trace, Test and Quarantine strategy, further adding that smart lockdowns have been installed at 3,497 locations in 103 districts across the country. As a result, it has succeeded in preventing the epidemic and saving precious lives, and with the full cooperation of the people, it has succeeded in preventing Corona.
The briefing said that precautionary measures are necessary to deal with a possible second wave of corona under the 52% test trace, test and quarantine strategy of Corona.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary Sindh said that they are closely monitoring the educational institutions and marriage halls. Chief Secretary KPK also briefed that action has been taken against marriage halls and restaurants for violating Corona SOPs. The quarantine policy has reduced the number of corona cases in Balochistan, added by the cheif secretary of Balochistan.
