The National Command and Operations Center has again recommended banning public gatherings, immediate closure of farms and shrines, cinemas and theaters in the second wave of corona virus in Pakistan, early winter in educational institutions and more holidays. A special meeting was convened on November 16.
A meeting of the National Command and Operations Center was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar to review the second wave of Corona epidemic, measures taken to curb the spread of the epidemic and implementation of SOPs.
During the briefing, the meeting was informed that Corona is spreading in 16 different cities of the country despite smart micro lockdown and restrictions, due to non-implementation of SOPs, however, the NCOC recommended strict measures in these areas affected by the virus.
The meeting was informed that the rate of corona cases is increasing in educational institutions across the country, on which the NCOC decided to hold a special meeting of provincial education ministers under the supervision of Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training Shafqat Mahmood on 16 November to review the situation of corona outbreaks in educational institutions.
The meeting was informed that in the current situation, in order to protect the health of students, the rate of spread of Corona virus in educational institutions should be increased prematurely and more than usual.
The NCOC once again recommended a ban on public gatherings, saying that political, cultural, religious, recreational and social gatherings of more than 500 people should be banned, as well as farms, shrines, cinemas and He also recommended immediate closure of theaters.
The National Command and Operations Center said that eating and drinking inside restaurants should be banned but outdoor dining and takeaways should be allowed till 10 pm, while ensuring implementation of the decision to close bazaars and markets soon.
Federal Minister Asad Omar has said that the number of Corona cases has increased threefold since mid-October. The national political leadership needs to send a message to the entire nation to prevent Corona, NCOC recommended.
