ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has restrained the police from arresting former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in five separate cases, including the violent May 9 riots.

The cases against Khan include accusations related to the May 9 incidents, attempted murder, and the use of fake receipts, while Bushra Bibi faces a charge alleging she submitted forged receipts.

Presided over by Judge Afzal Majoka, the court granted an extension of their pre-arrest bail until November 25, 2025, and directed that neither may be arrested in the meantime. Additionally, the court ordered that Imran Khan must appear either in person or via video link at the next hearing.

This ruling provides temporary relief to the couple amid multiple legal proceedings in Islamabad and elsewhere in Pakistan.
