ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday disposed of a petition filed for the recovery of Sadaqat Abbasi, a former MNA of the PTI.
The petition was filed by family of Abbasi after he disappeared mysteriously over a month back. Abbasi however returned home a few days ago.
He later told a private TV channel that he had gone to northern areas and then stayed with a friend.
He also announced to quit politics and said PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan was responsible for the arson attacks on military installations after his brief arrest in a corruption case on May 9.
When the petition was taken up for hearing by IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq today, counsel for the petitioner Babar Awan appeared in the court.
When the judge asked the counsel had the person returned, Babar Awar paid tribute to the chief justice and credited him with the recovery of Abbasi. The court then disposed if the petition.
