ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that no talks were being held between the government and PTI over the latter’s plan to hold a protest march on Islamabad.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Friday, the minister said that Islamabad High Court a day earlier had ordered the PTI’s protest call unauthorized. He said that the government will filly implemented the court order to check the protest and protect public and private properties.
He said there was a bloodbath in Kurram district of Khyber Pakthunkhwa but the chief minister of the province was using government resources to attack Islamabad again and again and was not bothered to maintain law and order.
The minister and PML-N stalwart criticized the PTI and said it had always followed a policy of violence, adding the latest statement of Imran Khan’s wife about Saudi Arabia was unfortunate.
Meanwhile, besides Islamabad Section 144 has also been imposed in Punjab banning the assembly of five and more people.
