RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi has ordered the arrest of Aliema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, after she failed to appear before the court for the third consecutive time.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) was hearing cases filed against 11 suspects in connection with the protest that took place on November 26.

While 10 of the accused appeared before the court along with five prosecution witnesses and evidence, Aliema Khan remained absent once again.

This marks the third time that non-bailable warrants have been issued for her arrest. The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for her guarantor, Umar Sharif.

The ATC directed the police to arrest Aliema Khan and present her before the court on October 22. Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi has been instructed to verify property documents submitted by the guarantor.
