ISLAMABAD: A court in Islamabad has prevented the arrest of PTI founder in five May 9 and other related cases, and directed that he be presented via video link in the next hearing.

The hearing took place at the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka. Advocates Sardar Muhammad Masroor Khan and Zahid Shabbir Dar appeared on behalf of the defendant.

The court issued orders preventing the arrest of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in the related cases until December 23, 2025. Their pre-arrest bail was extended, and the court directed that the PTI founder be presented either in person or via video link in the next hearing.

Due to the absence of the PTI founder, arguments on the bail petitions could not be heard, and the court adjourned the hearing until December 23.

The cases against the PTI founder include the May 9 incidents, attempted murder, and alleged submission of fake receipts, while a case against Bushra Bibi also involves alleged submission of fraudulent receipts.
