Another bad news for citizens who are worried about inflation and unemployment, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has demanded a monthly fuel price adjustment of 57 paise per unit.
The CPPA’s request for price hike has been made in the context of fuel price adjustment for October. The NEPRA Authority will decide on the price hike after hearing the request on December 17.
The petition said that the reference fuel cost of electricity in October was Rs 3.75 per unit, 31 per cent from water, 18.70 per cent from coal, 11.18 per cent from domestic gas, while in October it was generated from imported LNG. 27.83% electricity was generated.
