CHAMAN: Authorities in Chaman have intensified operations against Afghan nationals residing in Pakistan without valid documents.
According to Levies officials, the crackdown was initiated on federal government directives after the legal stay period for Afghan refugees expired. Late-night raids were conducted across several areas of the city, during which the identity cards and Proof of Registration (PoR) cards of Afghan nationals were inspected.
Officials warned PoR cardholders to leave Pakistan and return to Afghanistan immediately, or face strict legal action.
Deputy Commissioner Chaman stated that Afghan nationals without a valid Afghan passport and Pakistani visa are not permitted to reside in the country. Levies and police are actively arresting and deporting all illegal foreign residents, in compliance with federal and provincial government orders.
