DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) thwarted a planned terrorist attack and apprehended a suspected female suicide bomber in Dera Ismail Khan.
The timely intervention of the CTD not only prevented a potentially devastating incident but also resulted in the recovery of crucial evidence, including a 30-bore pistol, ammunition, mobile phones and other materials from the suspect’s possession.
According to CTD officials, an in-depth forensic analysis of the seized mobile phones revealed alarming links to a banned militant organization, shedding light on the possible network behind the plot.
In recognition of the successful operation, Zulfiqar Hameed, the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has announced a cash reward for the CTD team, praising their professionalism, quick response and dedication to safeguarding public security.
