Cultural heritage of Gilgit-Baltistan showcased in New York

NEW YORK: A cultural festival organized by the Sohni Watan Organization in New York showcased the rich cultural heritage of Gilgit-Baltistan and brought together the Pakistani-American community in a celebration of unity and diversity.

Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan, along with ministers of tourism and planning from GB attended the event.

A large number of Pakistani-Americans attended the event, strengthening the cultural and community ties between Pakistan and its diaspora.

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan’s Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai commended the organization for its welfare initiatives benefitting all sections of the community.

He also lauded the organization’s efforts to promote the unique cultural identity of Gilgit-Baltistan, highlighting its significant role in fostering pride and connection among Pakistani-Americans.

The event underscored the importance of cultural exchange and community engagement in celebrating Pakistan’s rich heritage while reinforcing the bonds between the homeland and its diaspora in the United States.
