Dar Calls for Enhanced Economic Ties with EU

ISLAMABAD: In a inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Vice Premier Ishaq Dar, Pakistan emphasized its commitment to enhancing trade relations with the European Union and exploring new economic opportunities.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the meeting was focused on Pakistan-EU economic and trade ties.

Dar highlighted the significance of the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+) as a vital framework for Pakistan’s economic growth. He stressed the importance of fully utilizing the GSP+ benefits and strengthening economic relations with the European Union.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Minister of Commerce, Special Assistant Tariq Bajwa, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Amina Baloch, and relevant federal and provincial authorities.
