Dar, Guterres Reaffirm Commitment to Close Coordination

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination, as they discussed matters of mutual interest during a telephone conversation.

According to the Foreign Office, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s strong and unwavering support for multilateralism and the central role of the United Nations in addressing international challenges and promoting peaceful solutions to global disputes.

The deputy prime minister also appreciated Guterres’s leadership and efforts on a range of international issues during his tenure as UN secretary-general.

The two leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and agreed to remain in close contact and continue coordination on issues of shared concern.
