ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will pay a one-day visit to Afghanistan on Saturday (today) with a high-level delegation.
According to the Foreign Office, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will meet Afghanistan’s interim Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund and Interim Foreign Minister Shah Amir Khan Muttaqi.
The Foreign Office said that the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister is a reflection of Pakistan’s commitment to enhance sustainable connectivity with brotherly Afghanistan.
Pakistan and the interim Taliban government have been at odds over the latter’s support to terror groups involved in attacking Pakistani security forces and civilians for the last many years.
