Day of Kashmir’s Freedom Will Dawn Soon: CDF

MUZAFFARABAD: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir Freedom Movement, stating that the day of freedom in Kashmir as desired by the Kashmiri people will dawn soon.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Muzaffarabad where he honored the martyrs of the Kashmir movement by laying a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Jammu and Kashmir. He praised the unparalleled courage, sacrifice, and tireless struggle of the Kashmiri martyrs in their pursuit of freedom.

During his visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir addressed the dignitaries and former military personnel, reiterating Pakistan’s steadfast political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He emphasized that the Indian atrocities, constant human rights violations, and the Hindutva-driven injustices have failed to suppress the legitimate struggle and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause, emphasizing that freedom in Kashmir, according to the will and destiny of the Kashmiri people, would soon come to fruition.

Field Marshal Munir stated that Pakistan will continue to highlight the Kashmir issue on all relevant international platforms until a just resolution of the dispute, in line with the UN Security Council resolutions. He expressed Pakistan’s ongoing solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

The Chief of Defence Forces also praised the officers and troops stationed in Kashmir for their unwavering commitment, high morale, professional expertise, and combat readiness. He stressed the importance of maintaining high levels of preparation, vigilance, and coordination to respond effectively and decisively to any provocation by the enemy.

During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir also inspected a forward post, where he met with the soldiers deployed at the frontline. He assured them that any act of aggression would be met with swift, decisive, and effective retaliation.
