QUETTA: A high-level meeting was held following the deadly explosion near Chaman Phatak in Quetta, which claimed multiple lives, including security personnel.
The meeting was chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
During the session, the Inspector General of Balochistan Police presented an initial report on the incident. Officials strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a cowardly act targeting innocent civilians.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that the federal government stands firmly with the Balochistan administration during this difficult time. He emphasized that those responsible showed extreme brutality by attacking defenseless people, and vowed that the sacrifices of the victims would not be forgotten.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed gratitude for the federal government’s support and assured that the families of the victims would not be left alone. He added that the injured are receiving proper medical care under close supervision.
Authorities confirmed that law enforcement agencies have launched a full investigation, and security forces remain on high alert to prevent further incidents.
