ISLAMABAD: In connection with Independence Day celebrations and the commemoration of the “Battle of Truth,” a grand exhibition of defence equipment is being held at Shakarparian Parade Ground, Islamabad.
Preparations for the nationwide Independence Day festivities are in full swing.
On August 14, special events have been arranged at Shakarparian Parade Ground for the public, with the venue opening at 10:00 a.m.
The exhibition will showcase various weapons, aircraft, tanks, and other military equipment used during the Battle of Truth. Artillery, rocket launcher vehicles, military transport vehicles, and armoured carriers will also be on display.
Radar systems that played a significant role in the Battle of Truth will be part of the exhibition. The Pakistan Air Force will conduct a fly-past and parachute jumps, while military bands will perform patriotic tunes to stir national spirit. Cultural programs and stalls will also be set up to engage visitors.
The purpose of the defence equipment exhibition is to give every citizen an opportunity to celebrate this historic day with pride and to highlight Pakistan’s military achievements.
