The first freight train carrying 750,000 litres of diesel from Rawalpindi has reached the Peshawar region, according to 24 News HD.

A second freight train carrying one million litres of diesel from Mahmood Kot is scheduled to reach the Peshawar region tonight.

Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi has instructed the administration to continue diesel transportation on a daily basis.

Authorities said timely delivery of fuel through rail would help ensure continuity of travel facilities for the public by maintaining fuel supplies in the Peshawar region.

The move comes as authorities seek to maintain regular fuel availability and transportation services across the country.
