Distinguished Pakistani women paid tributes

NEW YORK: Distinguished women from the Pakistani-American community were paid tribute at an event organized at the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York.

The event was held to recognize the valuable contributions and achievements of the prominent women who have excelled in diverse fields, including social services, healthcare, academia, advocacy, and community leadership.

In his welcoming remarks, Pakistan’s Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai paid tribute to the Pakistani-American women for their role in strengthening the community, fostering relations between Pakistan and the United States, and projecting a positive image of Pakistan abroad.

He reiterated the consulate’s unwavering commitment to supporting and promoting the leadership of Pakistani-American women.

He also presented certificates of appreciation to the distinguished women, recognizing their exemplary commitment and outstanding achievements.

Society of Foreign Consuls meeting

The Executive Committee of the Society of Foreign Consuls held its meeting at the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York. 

The meeting was co-chaired by the Consul General of Malaysia Amir Farid Abu Hasan and the Consul General of Pakistan Aamer Ahmed Atozai.

Members representing South Africa, Malaysia, Philippines, Georgia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Serbia, and Argentina attended the meeting.

The committee deliberated upon upcoming initiatives and key programs, particularly highlighting preparations for the Society’s 100th Anniversary Gala Dinner, which commemorates its century-long diplomatic contributions in New York.

The Consul General of Pakistan in his remarks emphasized Pakistan’s enduring commitment to diplomatic collaboration and reiterated the consulate’s strong support for the Society’s initiatives aimed at fostering mutual understanding and cooperation among consular missions in New York.
