ISLAMABAD: Government officials have informed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that a panel of doctors will examine former Prime Minister Imran Khan today.
According to sources, senior government figures contacted PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and assured the party that the medical board would conduct Khan’s examination. PTI has formally been notified about the development.
Meanwhile, an opposition alliance continues its sit-in at three locations in Islamabad, demanding access for Khan’s personal physician.
Security has been tightened in Islamabad’s Red Zone, with entry points sealed and a heavy police presence deployed. Prison vans have also been stationed in the area.
