DPO convoy escapes bomb blast in Shangla

SHANGLA: A powerful explosion occurred near the convoy of District Police Officer Shangla, damaging two vehicles but causing no loss of life, police said on Saturday.

According to the police, the blast took place close to the convoy of District Police Officer (DPO) Shah Hassan Khan and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Akbar Hayat.

While the officers’ official vehicles remained unscathed, a private double-cabin vehicle carrying Special Branch personnel was partially damaged in the blast.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all officers and personnel remained safe, the police added.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the nature and source of the explosion.
