Dreams of a better future in Europe, 50 migrants starved to death
MADRID: Another boat carrying migrants trying to enter Spain illegally has crashed which killed at least 50 migrants, while about 20 others have rescued.
According to Spanish media, the migrants started their journey from Senegal to Spain two weeks ago. There were 80 people on the boat, who were trapped in the sea, as per the reports.
According to AMI news agency, about 50 migrants lost their lives due to starvation and thirst among the unfortunate passengers of the boat which remained helpless at sea for about two weeks, however, around 20 migrants were rescued by rescue teams.
Furthermore, Survivors of the crash were given first aid and will be repatriated in the next few days, while police have launched an investigation into the tragic incident. 27 people had been killed last year in such a boat carrying illegal migrant and crashed last year.
