Dubai Airport Breaks Passenger Records

DUBAI: Dubai International Airport has set a new milestone in passenger traffic this year.

According to media reports, the airport received millions of travelers, solidifying its position as a global aviation hub. Between January and September 2025, the airport handled 70.1 million passengers, marking a 2.1% increase compared to last year.

During this period, 3.2 million Pakistani travelers passed through Dubai Airport, ranking fourth among all nationalities. India led the list with 8.8 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia with 5.5 million and the United Kingdom with 4.6 million.

The airport has maintained exceptional efficiency, with 99.6% of departing passengers completing immigration within 10 minutes and 99.8% of arrivals within 15 minutes.

Expansions at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are underway to better serve the growing number of South Asian travelers. Pakistani visitors primarily come for tourism, business, family visits, employment, and as a transit hub to Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
