ECC Approves Rs5 Billion for Daanish Schools Authority Fund

ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved measures involving Rs11.6 billion, including Rs5 billion in seed funding for the Daanish Schools Authority Fund.

The decisions were taken at an ECC meeting held in Islamabad.

The committee approved Rs6.6 billion for the purchase of 30 bullet-proof vehicles to facilitate the movement of heads of state during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, which Pakistan is scheduled to host in September 2027.

The ECC also approved the provision of Rs5 billion as seed money for the Daanish Schools Authority Fund.

In another decision, the committee approved recommendations for the export of donkey meat and hides from the Gwadar Free Zone, subject to necessary safeguards.

The ECC further allowed the continuation of gas supplies to Fatima Fertilizer and Agritech Limited until September 30 under the existing arrangement.
