The administration said no major road has been closed so far and that the public will be informed of any decision based on the law and order situation.
According to officials, no decision has been taken to announce holidays for educational institutions in Rawalpindi. Intercity and inter-district transport services will also continue to operate.
The roads connecting Rawalpindi and Islamabad, as well as routes linking the city with other areas, will remain open.
The district administration said any changes to the situation or decisions regarding closures will be communicated to the public after reviewing the law and order situation.
