ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan says effective policing system is inevitable for country’s prosperity as peace and rule of law are prerequisite for luring investment and wealth creation.
Addressing the inauguration of Eagle Squad in Islamabad, he urged the police to bring sacred cows and powerful law violator under the law and deal the poor with politeness to build a vibrant and progressive society.
The Eagle Squad comprises 100 well equipped patrol bikes for strict vigilance against street crimes across the city while being in constant connectivity with Islamabad Safe City headquarter.
The bike patrol will be equipped with LTE sets and could be GIS mapped and GPS based positioned. The project also consists training of 500 police personnel.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed speaking on the occasion said the Eagle Squad will replace the police check posts which cause traffic mess for the commuters.
