Eight Taliban militants killed on Pak-Afghan border

Officials say Taliban opened firing from across the border and in reply Pakistani forces killed eight of them.

RAWALPINDI: At least eight Taliban militants were killed and 16 others injured by security forces deployed on the Pak-Afghan border.

According to media reports, on September 7th, the Taliban militants opened indiscriminate firing into Pakistani posts from the Palosin area of Afghanistan. The Pakistan army retaliated and reportedly killed eight of the militants. Over 16 militants were also injured.

The dead included two commanders of the Taliban.
