Eight Terrorists Killed in Operation, Three Officials Injured

QUETTA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a major operation in Quetta, resulting in the elimination of eight terrorists.

According to a spokesperson for the CTD, the operation was conducted in the Darkshan area, where officers engaged the terrorists in a firefight.

During the exchange of gunfire, three CTD personnel sustained injuries. The spokesperson further stated that a significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain terrorists.

Initial reports indicate that the terrorists were associated with a banned organization; however, investigations are ongoing to confirm their affiliations and uncover additional details about the group.

The CTD emphasized that such operations are part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and curb terrorist activities in the region.
