According to sources cited by Express News, the proposed plan would cover 12 districts, including eight former tribal districts. A proposed FATA Council would oversee administrative and development affairs in the affected areas.

The districts under consideration for emergency measures are Kurram, Upper South Waziristan, Lower South Waziristan, North Waziristan, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.

Under the proposal, the council would be headed by an additional chief secretary and include the additional inspector general of police, along with four local representatives from each district. It would oversee law and order, development projects and other administrative matters.

Sources said the proposed council would operate under federal government supervision, while governor’s rule could be introduced in the province’s remaining districts.

The report also indicated that the federal government was considering key steps regarding the proposed emergency measures. A federal cabinet meeting was reportedly scheduled for the morning, where the proposals could be considered for approval.

However, no official announcement has been made confirming the proposed measures or their implementation. The final decision remains pending.
