KOHAT: Prominent social and political figure of Kohat and former Member National Assembly Javed Ibrahim Paracha passed away at the age of 76.
His funeral will be held after Maghreb prayer on Wednesday.
Haji Ibrahim Paracha was elected to the National Assembly on PML-N ticket in the 1997 election and was later made by the Nawaz Sharif government as chairman of the NA standing committee on railways.
He was the patron in chief of Sunni Supreme Council and administrator of the Darul Uloom Anjuman Taleemul Quran.
He was also a strong supporter of the Taliban and was influential in religious circles in Kohat as well as in Karak, Hangu and other areas.
