Ex-PM’s aide injured in acid attack in London

Says attack was carried out in his residence but his family remained safe.

LONDON: Former prime minister Imran Khan’s special assistant on accountability Shehzad Akbar has come under acid attack in London.

In his post on social networking platform of X, Akbar said he was injured in the attack, but his family remained safe.

“Last night I was attacked at my address in England (where I am living in exile with my family) by unknown assailant/s who threw acid liquid at me. Thankfully, my wife and children are safe, however I got some injuries but nothing life threatening.”
