Explosion in Kabul’s Shahr-e-Now Area Kills Multiple People

KABUL: A blast in the Shahr-e-Now area of Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, has resulted in multiple casualties.

According to a spokesperson from the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, initial reports confirm loss of life, but the exact number of dead and injured will be released later. Ministry spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qani stated that investigations into the incident are ongoing, and more details will be shared soon.

Shahr-e-Now is known for housing foreign residents and is considered one of the safer areas of Kabul.
